How to make a booking
Bookings can be made through Online Scout Manager. To book the trailer, visit the campsite booking page. Click the green "View availability and book online today" button.
Using the list of items scroll to the Box Trailer booking options. You can choose daily, weekend or week long bookings. Check the calendar to confirm availability and then Click the "Book Online" button to start the booking process.
After clicking the book online button you will be asked to log in to OSM. If you already have an OSM login then you can sign in using that. If you do not have an OSM login then you can create one by using the "Create Account" link on the login page. Only basic information including name, email address and contact phone number are required).
- Having signed in to OSM you will see the availability calendar as shown in the screenshot. Use the "Add Booking" button in the top right to create a new trailer booking.
- Complete basic details about your booking include your Group Name, booking dates and ensuring you select Harrogate District as the organisation type.
- In the bookable items list you will find 3 options for Box Trailer hire. Choose the one you require.
- To submit the booking for approval. Click the "Submit Booking" button in the yellow are at the top of the page.
- A customer details form will pop up allowing you to enter your name and contact details (as mentioned, please provide a phone number). Finally, click the "Save" button to submit it for approval.
Once you have made your booking in OSM the booking administrator will check and approve your booking. After which you will receive a confirmation email. You will need to advise the campsite team of the times you intend to collect and return the trailer so that access to the site and trailer keys can be arranged.
Terms of Hire
- The trailer weighs 550KG empty
- The trailer has a maximum load weight of 1050KG
- The maximum gross weight of the trailer is 1700KG
- The hirer is required by law to have a suitable towing vehicle
- The tow vehicle must be appropriately insured for towing
- The hirer must provide a regulation (square profile) number plate
- The load must be secured with straps
- When detached from the towing vehicle the wheel clamp must be used to secure the trailer
- As the hirer you agree to return the trailer in a clean, undamaged state, otherwise accept a reasonable charge for cleaning or repair.
